According to some, undergraduate dental education offers nothing more than a license to learn. Today, the technical and managerial knowledge necessary to be in private practice is greater than ever. Are dental schools graduating dentists who have the capacity to provide Optimal Care? Are dental schools graduating everyone who pays their tuition bills? Would a fifth year or requisite residency be a benefit? Would it be realistic? Would it serve the public?
